Allow me to personally welcome you to the Hobbs Fire Department.  Our department is 70 members strong and is represented by a diverse workforce of dedicated men and women.  With 3 fire stations and divisions of Training, Fire Prevention, Emergency Medical Services, Operations.  The Hobbs Fire Department provides a variety of public safety services including Fire Suppression, EMS-Advanced Life Support Transport, Hazmat Response, Airport Fire and Rescue, High Angle/Confined Space Rescue, SWAT medics and more.  Above all else, we are a customer service organization committed to Preservation, Education, Professionalism to all citizens of our community.

Welcome to the City of Hobbs Fire Department.  As the Assistant Fire Chief, I oversee general operations of the department as well as the Environmental Division for the City.  I have the pleasure of working with highly trained and dedicated Battalion Chiefs who oversee their respective shifts.  Our personnel are a diverse and talented work force. Our primary focus is safety, emergency response, training and fitness.  Our department is experiencing a significant increase in emergency response due to the increase in oil and gas production in our area as well as the diversifying nature of business’s coming to our area.  We continually strive to set the standard of progression as a tradition.
